Sedum Burrito (Sedum morganianum) – also called Donkey’s Tail –  is a fantastic succulent, bearing thick trailing stems covered with overlapping, plump, blue-green leaves. Too tender for our climate, it’s typically grown as a houseplant, although may be moved outside in summer. It looks no less than lovely in hanging planters and plant baskets.

Sedum Burrito is different and unique, helping add a green and fresh feel to your indoor space. Why not add something new to your setting with these tentacle-like plants.  Sedum Burritos are now available on our Online Flower Boutique! Learn more…

A beautiful plant is like having a friend around the house.

– Beth Ditto –

Sedum Burrito is extremely easy to share: all you need is a single leaf to start a new plant. Just drop it into a pot of growing mix and it will slowly produce roots and then a stem and leaves. And there you go: a new plant is born!

In tropical countries, Donkey’s Tail is widely used as an outdoor plant and can be seen dripping from hanging baskets everywhere. In our region, it’s grown as a houseplant in hanging baskets or wall pots. It’s a tough and patient plant that grows well even when thoroughly neglected.

Like all sedums, this plant prefers full sun, but will tolerate more moderate light, such as an east window.
